I am an incoming first-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Maryland (UMD), advised by Professor Abhinav Shrivastava and Professor Leo Liu .
My research interests include deep learning and human-computer interaction for domain-specific reasoning and human intention monitoring. I am particularly interested in applying this line of research to sports analytics and biomechanics.
I completed my B.S. in Computer Science with a double major in Mathematics at UMD College Park. I am also a founding member of the Schanwald Sports Management Program at UMD! As an undergrad, I was a member of the Neuromechanics Research Core and the Perception and Intelligence Lab, where I was fortunate to work on a wide variety of interesting topics ranging from developing practical approaches to biomechanical analysis to quantifying NBA shot quality. Below are some selected publications!
Outside of courses and research, I love to play sports (primarily basketball), watch movies, and travel.
Feel free to reach out to my email (architk@umd.edu) or connect on LinkedIn if you are interested in any of these topics! I would love to collaborate!
